The first episode basically begins with the narration of how Son Goku defeated Majin Buu in the past. A series of scenes follows showing the intense battle on how Son Goku was able to defeat Majin Buu with the use of the Super Spirit Bomb by collecting positive energies throughout the universe. Then six months later, by using the powers of the Dragon God Shenron, the citizens of the world had their memories erased, including Buu's of the days that passed.
On the next scenes you will see Goku on a tractor machine tending and cleaning up their radish farm. Son Goten will be seen flying towards his father to bring him the lunch box that Chi-chi has prepared for him. After eating up his entire lunch, Goku was given enough strength to train up on his skills while Goten was allowed to drive the tractor for a while. An accident happens when Goten and the tractor machine falls off the cliff but thankfully, his father was able to save him.
Gokou will then tell his son that he should be training at King Kaio's planet but Chi-chi told him to get a decent job and work for money since they were only living a very simple life.
Meanwhile in a far away planet, where the citizens looks like a "boar", Lord Beerus is having a not so sumptuous meal. He was not fully satisfied with the taste of the food that was served to him by the planet's chief who were trying to appease him. In return, they agreed that Beerus will only destroy half of their planet. With just one tick of Beerus' finger, half of the planet was instantly annihilated.
Back on earth, there was a press conference going on at Mr. Satan's mansion where he was being interviewed by the press people on how he is feeling with the recognition (including the 100 million zeni price money) he received by saving the world. The conference was interrupted when the hungry Buu suddenly butt in to the room asking for food. The press people were shocked but Satan was able to explain everything to them that he is just an alien and his number one disciple. He was able to calm Buu down and promised to give him some chocolates.
Son Gohan and Videl will be seen on the next scene walking down the street while Piccolo was eyeing on them at the top of a building.
Goten and Trunks Jr. is having a conversation about giving a gift for Gohan and Videl's up coming wedding. They went to a jewelry shop for a ring but they couldn't afford it because it's too expensive. They overheard an old man complaining about cosmetics prices being too high and that the hot spring water where he lives is much more effective. Goten and Trunks decided to get the water instead. They followed the old man's direction to fetch up some water but the hot spring were already crowded. So they ended up in a nearby river to get the water but a giant snake was guarding the place. They fought the snake and succeeded in driving it away. They return home at Videl's place and gave her the bottle of water. She was surprised to find that it was just a plain water but was very delighted for the early gift she received from them.

Then Mr. Satan arrived on his luxury car. He told Goku that he is the one who truly deserves the 100 million price money. Goku refuses at first but changed his mind eventually when Goten pointed out that with that big amount of money, Chi-chi will let him go and train at King Kaio's realm. Chi-chi was very happy when he presented her the money. She just asks Goku to visit them every once in a while and he teleports off to King Kaio's planet.
