There are tons of health benefits we could get when we eat
our breakfast every morning. First, it
would give the energy our body needs. Second,
young kids would get higher grades at school.
It’s really fun to study when your kid’s tummies are full. This would also boost your alertness and you
would never feel sleepy or lazy at work.
Third, this would help you prevent from getting sick.
According to Dr. Roger Henderson, author of “100 ways to
live to 100”, people who reached the age of 100 were those who were always
eating healthy stuff on their breakfast.
So what are the healthy stuff to eat?
We could only get the full benefits of our breakfast if we know how to choose
healthy foods. Eating sweet stuff like
donut, butter and fatty meats are really not recommended for breakfast.
These are the ideal stuff you should eat:
1. FISH and VEGETABLES ~ Fried milkfish
and Mung Beans. Peach (Chinese Cabbage)
or Kangkong (Swamp Cabbage) are very nutritious and delicious. Sardines and Anchovies are rich in protein
and calcium.
2. MILK and YOGURT ~ Milk
is considered as a complete food. It is
very rich in protein, carbohydrates and fats.
Skimmed Milk and Yogurt are much suited for the elderly, people who have
diabetes and have a high cholesterol level on their blood.
3. FRESH FRUIT JUICE
~ There are tons of vitamins and minerals your body could get if you drink
freshly squeezed fruit juices. Avoid
drinking powdered juice drinks because of its high sugar content.
4. EGGS ~ If you don’t
have any heart ailments or problem with your cholesterol level, eating one egg
per day is recommended. Hardboiled egg
has no oil and is very good to eat.
5. FRUITS ~ Bananas,
apples, papaya and mangoes are rich in vitamins and minerals. Eat at least one to two pieces of these
fruits. In terms of the mango, it is
recommended to only eat one to two slices of this fruit. Because it is very high on calories.
6. OATMEAL ~This is
one of the best and healthy stuff to eat for breakfast. It is recommended for people who have a high
cholesterol level. Eating at least one
cup of oatmeal every day could help lower down the cholesterol level in your
blood for at least 10 percent.
7. CEREALS ~ This is
very rich in vitamins and minerals specially when it is combined with
milk. Choose a cereal brand that is rich
in fiber.
